The amazing beach at Bridlington's South Shore stretches from Bridlington Harbour to the Humber Estuary. It is cleaned daily during the Summer Months and whatever you read, the beach near the Holiday Village is DOG FRIENDLY. It is only in the Summer that dogs are not allowed on the beach near the Bridlington Town Centre. Click HERE for more info.
From Bridlington Harbour you can set out to sea on one of the many boat trips run from there. Most popular with families is the Pirate Ship trip, of for braver people - the Speed Boat. Be warned - you may get wet!
For a more sedate experience there is the Yorkshire Belle Cruiser, a one or two hour sail along the coast.

Lots of local places to get to by bike, the cycle into Bridlington is very easy and plenty of railings at the other end to chain your bike to. Going South you can cycle easily along the path to the Cow Shed Tea Room at Fraisthorpe.
The new East Riding Leisure Centre has swimming, a gym, and a climbing wall among other things. At busy times it's best to book in advance, which you can do online.
Fishing activity regularly takes place along the beach and in the Harbour. From www.wheretofish.com : South Pier may be fished free all year and North Pier in winter only.
Sport in summer only fair small whiting, billet, flatfish mainly but
good codling and whiting from Dec-March; fledgling area for tope.
Launches and cobles sail daily from Harbour at 0730, 0930, 1330, 1800
during summer. They operate from 3 to 60 mile radius around Flamborough
Head, or wrecks. Catches include cod, haddock, mackerel, plaice, ling
and skate. Rock fishing from shore at Thornwick Bay. Bait: lugworm may
be dug in South Bay and small sand eels caught by raking and digging on
edge of tide. Sea angling festival Sept. Boats: many charter boats.
The Chalet is two minutes by Car from Bridlington Golf Club.
This area is very photogenic, beautiful landscapes and seascapes are all around. Popular with photographers are Flamborough Head and slightly further North is the RSPB Bird Sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs.
Sewerby Hall and Gardens is highly recommended for a day out. Just North of here is the already mentioned Bempton Cliffs. Their scenic chalk cliffs are also on display at Flamborough Head and the nearby North and South Landings which are well worth a visit.
The Bondville Model Village is a fun and relaxing stroll highly rated on Tripadvisor and there's an excellent cafe.
